Who is this for?

This qualification is aimed at all staff working directly with the public, including cleaners, security, shop workers, customer service, CCTV operators, passenger safety assistants and anybody who has a vested interest in keeping people safe.

The qualification provides the learner with the tools to be able to detect unusual or anomalous behaviours which may lead to theft, terrorism, assault, fraud, unlawful protests, and many other crimes that occur within today’s society.

Not all anomalous behaviours are indicative of unlawful behaviour; the individual may just need help or be worried about a situation, and the course will help you to identify the differences.

Prerequisites:

This qualification is available to those over 16 years of age. Candidates should be at least at level 2 numeracy and literacy (or equivalent).

Course Content

The course modules include:

  • Know the basic concepts of behavioural detection
  • Understand how to establish a baseline behaviour
  • Recognise anomalous behaviours
  • Understand the purpose and outcomes of resolution conversations

  • Multiple choice question paper
