Who is this for: This qualification enhances the learner’s foundational knowledge and understanding of security management within the broader context of security principles, considering current and emerging criminal and terrorist threats to businesses. It develops research skills, enabling the learner to examine various security management concepts, including the responsibilities of a security manager, essential attributes and skills, security management policies, risk mitigation, information protection, and relevant legislation.
This qualification also fosters transferrable skills that support the Security Manager in professional settings and contribute to ongoing professional development in broader security roles.
Pre-requisites: This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Candidates should be at least a level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent.
